[Completed] Waikato - Auckland Event May

Post by bernjean » Fri May 13, 2022 11:30 am

Date: May 29th, 11.00am
Where: Meeting place, Mercer behind McDonald's in the car park.
Drive to Raglan for some lunch. Make your own way home.

This is designed so that we start at a midway point between Hamilton and Auckland.
If your Z is not going or you don't have one just come along and bring another classic or your everyday car. Anyone welcome we just ask that all participants be responsible.

That was an excellent drive.
I have never driven those roads before. They would have to be as good as you would find anywhere,
and in better repair than the ones going North from Auckland.
I will be sure to take them anytime I am going South from Auckland, when time doesn't not matter.
Great cafe too, on the road to the surf beach.
Obviously known to the car community , as there were a group on Cortinas there as well
those of our members who didn't come, you don't what you missed.
Hopefully more of you will show up to the next one..

I made it to the Bombay hills, but turned back as my drivers window got stuck down...
Next time.

The electric motors are bit of a problem on the 350's. I have to replace one and pulled the other apart and cleaned it out. They must shed something inside the electric motor as mine were all filled with black dust. Not the easiest to get out either. I would recommend checking out google before you do it.
