HI guys,
next video is up of the suspension refresh. well 80% of it anyway.
check it out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKSyh2Uv9xI&t=43s
also, my oil pan/sump has been modified by a previous owner.
They added wings and some trap doors.
It's been leaking a tiny bit as it looks like it's cracked.
after removing it I found the trap doors were jammed up so aren't working anyway.
I might try fix it up, but not really keen to put it back on.
Does anyone have a standard L series oil pan they would sell? or any recommendation of where to get one quickly?
Other options I've found are Moroso, Arizona Z car and Kameari.
But i'd rather not spend over $1000NZD on an oil pan at the moment.
cheers,
Connor

Another excellent video Connor.
How did you go removing the spindle pins from the rear LCA.s? I see you have bought new ones.
These can be notoriously hard to get out. After trying heat, then a press, then a bigger press, mine eventually had to be cut.

Thanks mate, appreciate it, this video stuff is hard work haha
Managed to get the spindle pins out with a bit of heat and big hammer.
Although with my 260z years ago I remember having to cut them.

Next video is up:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oMcgfh ... MJdM6lVfc8
manual swap is basically done now.
I'd love to get it back together before the datsun nations at the mount!!
But can't see the coilovers arriving in time
cheers,
Connor

More great stuff Connor.
Interesting how the hole in the tunnel is shorter on the auto models.
I have a C box from a Skyline, which has the lever a little further forward in the hole.
The inner boot still works fine but not the outer, so may need to get one custom made for that.

I tested the gearbox: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaYmnkuGLos
not 100% sure about the outcome yet.
But i've got a few more things to add to the never ending list of issues to fix.
cheers,
Connor

You can get the stub axles that fit the Datsun shaft's from Fotofab, you will find their contact details on the web page under "Sponsors", Z club members will get a discount from them. I just had set arrive last week. Very good quality. I am doing the STI diff swap as well.
