Hey team,

Having some issues with my triple Mikuni 45's leaking fuel. Stuck float valves which I've tried to sort with an air compressor. What would it cost to refurb and who would do this in Auckland? Or would someone have a good set of 40's I could buy/swap? Thanks

I got mine totally recondition at a place on Plunket ave in Wiri. I stripped them (3 X Dellorto )to the bare bones and gave them to the guy for glass blasting, a total rebuild and assembly etc. They looked better than new. It cost around $750. I will take my original Hitachi's to him to do some time.

Try Ebay. there are a lot of carb specialists. I got mine from ebay (3 complete kits) and they were way cheaper than from NZ

I had a similar problem with my dhla’s recently. It was caused by a crystallised build up on the jets. Just had to pull them out and clean it off.

Don't know if you will have much luck with Wolf Creek anymore.
Last time I tried to buy jets from there it turned out they had been sold to Futofab, who told me they had run the stock down and were undecided whether they would continue with the Mikuni stuff, and referred me to another guy.

Thanks to all. Can't wait to get the Z running as it should again! Also painting the engine bay as still have the original colour.
