275 are skinny tyres for a 11" wheel...got 275 on a 10.5" mag initially and removed them asap, way too stretched!
Now I have 255/35 on a 8.5" mag and a 295/30 on a 10.5" mag...depends a lot of the tyre brand you are using, some are wider than others.
Not bulky at all, straight side walls.
wheel and tyre fitment
I would guess it does depend on the tyre brand and also the sidewalk hight, the lower the profile the more noticable the stretch.
But like Baker has said the Toyo R888's fit his 10" wide tyres with no problem. I'm thinking o f using these on the fronts and Toyo Proxes TC 275/40/16 on the rear, they might not be road certted and f all else fails I will buy another set of 16's just for cert and swap them when the mood fits

As other people here have said there is a huge difference between manufacturers and even tires from the same manufacturer. Aspect ratio is also critical. My 245x45x16 R888 tire has a relatively large sidewall and hence does not look at all stretched on a 10'' rim.
A word of warning R888s are a good tire when used appropriately as are Dunlop R rate tires. I use mine as an intermediate / wet tire. if it is really wet I add additional grooving. This does work for the road as well as the track, however you need to know what your doing and im suggesting not getting pulled over by an officer who knows his stuff.
