Big day today boys.... Got the new engine in.
Got a few things to consider now. It's a bit close
to the bonnet latch so I may need to remove the piece
that holds the latch. And I got the engine as low
as I could but I don't think she will be able to
remain under the bonnet and will have to be cut
through.

Been modelling up some dummy air intakes. They will have to go through the bonnet as the carb sits 60mm above the bonnet line. So looking at making up a whole lot of 5mm plates that all bolt together.

Looking good

Yeah I've got to admit I wouldn't be without them now. When ever I was building stuff for customers cars I'd always have to wait weeks for laser cutters to cut stuff out, it's a real momentum killer. Now I just switch them on and do it myself. The only downside was having to pay for them and it took 6 months to get one of them working properly....

Hi guys, so engine fits but I bolted on the water pump and it hits the bonnet latch.
So time for that to go. Which will make it so easy getting the engine in and out.
But will open up the front view of the engine so I can show off the March performance
Track style kit.

Working on the fuel system now. New tank going in but need to mod it a bit. Just making up some plates to mount it in place.
Got some new parts arriving so should have a good month on it fingers crossed.

You are progressing nicely. That's a big project. How will it cruise with the airbag suspension

Hi Bernie,
Yeah there is a lot to do. It's especially hard when it's just yourself doing it. I'm just trying to focus on one thing at a time.
Id quite like to out source a few things but in the past I've been let down buy over priced businesses that sit your car there
For months and just rush your job when you want to get it back. So I'm just going to take my time and use the money I
Would spend on them on tools to do the job myself.

I'm not a fan of airbag suspension for a performance build. I've had a few cars in the past with air bags and none of them have been
As good as shock and spring if you want to push the car.
You can get them to drive fine but this whole car build is for looks not performance. I'm just after
A weekend cruiser that looks and sounds cool. And I want it to drop down as low as she can go...
