Post by Type1 » Mon Mar 30, 2015 10:57 am

Hi everyone

I am only a puppy in the Z club.

I don't know much about the Z compare to you guys in here.

it would be interesting to see/hear some of the mods you have done to yours. Share a few tips and views. Pictures would be nice.

Bilstein shocks and springs all round
DBA slotted rotors and Ferrodo pads all round to go with the Brembos
Stillen catback exhaust
Plenum spacer, plus MREV 2 for the revup motor
Z badged dust cover caps (No discernible performance gain with these)
Still to fit the 350Z rear badging to replace Fairlady Z (ditto)
Contemplating a different head unit with touchscreen and Bluetooth for hands free phone.

Hey Chris. Where did you get the DRL's from? Just fitted some to my R36 and would love to get some for the Zed.

Hey Andy. Sorry mate, I've long since deleted the emails for that one - I'm pretty sure I found them on eBay. I do remember that it was much easier to find them for the earlier DE 350Z than the HR setup. Does yours have the same front bumper as my HR? Also, be aware that (at least on the HR front end) they only project out sideways; you can't really see them from the front of the car, which defeats the purpose of DRLs, but they look cool from the side! Another thing is, one of them has already had condensation/water get into it - grrr.

On a side note, I may still look at putting small DRL strips in the front grill; I just have to work out how and where (and find some money).
