2007 Bose system

Post by 350ZST » Sat Feb 14, 2015 12:34 pm

Have any of the 350z owners replaced the Bose factory head unit ?
Mine has a 6 Cd changer and mini disc built in.
Did you use any extra harness or a PAC ROEM-NIS2 ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes- have replaced my factory head unit to Pioneer dex-p99rs.
If I were you- id change all the speakers.
IMHO- bose speakers is not as good as most aftermarket speakers..

Thank's for your reply.
I take it that you changed your speakers then ?
Does that mean I wouldn't use the bose amp either or the speaker wiring ?

You can use the Bose speaker wiring..
No you must not use Bose amp as it would underpowered speaker and subs.
Yes I have changed speakers, amps, subs, cables and it sounds way better than the Bose system.

I replaced everything, not a single BOSE thing was left in place. New wiring (speakers, aftermarket head unit loom, aftermarket amps, subwoofer)

Theres a guide to running new speaker wiring through the doors, just google it and it should pop up on the 350Z UK page. You need a subwoofer box or otherwise seal the factory location for an aftermarket subwoofer
