Wheels

Post by 350ZST » Tue Jan 27, 2015 6:24 pm

I picked up my 2007 350z st today and the first thing I want is a new set of wheels, two of the alloys are badly scratched.
They are 18" x 8/8.5's. I've got an idea in my mind of some satin or matt black ones.
Has anyone else fitted an aftermarket wheels and who do you recommend.
I'm in Waiuku so would be looking in the Pukekohe to Auckland area.

The ones I have looked at and like at the moment are from Hyperdrive, MR116 gloss black with polish edge by Motegi racing.
I have a list of 4 at the moment.
Cali matte black milled spoke by DTM
Satin black 127 by Motegi Racing
LV matte grey by DTM

The car is orange so I'm think black would go nice with it.

I have Matte Black Work CR Kiwamis 18" x 8.5/9.5 on mine. I looked at a lot of replica wheel brands but it was very hard to find rims to fit over the Brembo brakes without spacers. (Sorry I cant remember if the ST is fitted with these or not) Where as these were a straight bolt on and have a lot of clearance.

Thanks for that, yes the ST has Brembo brakes and that was an issue I was concerned with. When I looked at the wheels I realised it wasn't going to be a straight forward job.

Got them sorted this morning at Hyperdrive, a very helpful sales guy showed me what they had available and even fitted a few for me to see how they looked.
I'm very happy with them, a massive improvement on the scratched oem wheels.

The question is what do I do with the oem wheels now ? is it worth getting them refurbished ?

I've just measured the oem wheel rims that came off my car and they appear to be 9" fronts and 9.5" rear.
The only spec I can find states 8" fronts and 8.5" rear.
Any one know the spec for a 2007 Nissan Fairlady Z ST ?
I've done the usual google search but haven't come up with anything.

Thanks for that, that confirms what I already had, mine are the 18" Touring wheels v2.
They must measure them from a different place than I did.
18 x 8 offset + 30mm 5x114.3 with 225/45R18 tyres on the front
18 x 8.5 offset +35mm 5x114.3 with 245/45R18 tyres on the rear

My new to me Z came with 19' rims and no spare.

Does anyone know if a 19" spare will fit in the factory wheel well?
