tinypic.com is working for some or if you reduce the numbers of pics you are hosting with photobucket your linked photos may light up again.

Hello everyone,

10 months later....

I have finished university finally and am now back in Auckland!!!

Which means its finally time to crack the whip on the project and get it running by Christmas

I've filled all the unnecessary holes in the firewall and repainted it. Given the engine a service (new gaskets, water pump, oil pump, belts). Sorted out my throttle cable, ordered a bunch more parts, modified my dash to fit with the rollcage.

Next on the list is to get the motor and box back in as well as sort out the mounting of the heater and then wiring

Will update some more with photos when I get a chance

Cheers
Karl

Hello everyone,

Pretty much 3 years since my last update and again I've made the excellent decision for progress of not being in the same city as the car; so to be honest not a heck of a lot has been done to the car. The parts stash has been steadily growing, but so does my imagination for 'might as well do this while im here' now I've got a bit more disposable income.

Its been back down to Hamilton for some roll cage modifications at TTT Auto Engineering (It's well and truely done the length of the country on the back of a trailer now). I now have a log book for the car as well as all the documents to homologate the cage once im ready (Just need a scrutineer to have a look). I've found a broken bolt that holds the sump on (which is a PITA!). So i've decided that i'll get everything else done in the engine bay and when its all in place take the engine out and get it fixed.

I've managed to get 60% of its fuel system plumbed and just need to take a bit of time to measure and order the rest of the braided line. The intercooler and oil cooler are mounted. The intercooler piping and exhaust are all complete thanks to DKM Fabrication.

Wiring will be my next head ache and then theoretically once the snapped bolt is fixed it should be able to start!

It'll be 7 years in July, after originally telling Mum and Dad it'll be done in 6 months, So I should probably finish it this year :D

I can't figure out how to post images anymore - photobucket now requires payment and tinypic doesnt exist anymore.

Cheers
Karl

Hi Karl,
Keen to see some pictures... :)
I think we all had the same trouble with pics, I moved to tinypic as well and then that got nuked, but someone here directed me to:
https://imgur.com/
Seems to work easier and better than both the predecessors.

Lets give this new photo site a try.

Here's a pic post DKM Fabrication completing their work. I have unfortunately had a sump bolt snap on me so the engine is going to need to be removed soon so I can hopefully get that fixed.

Edit: Honestly can't figure this stupid photo adding out. Can click the link to the photo or can someone explain whats going wrong?
