Since the speed limit is 100% software in the ECU, the only option is re-flash (aside from full standalone software)

And $1100 is expensive for a re-flash just to remove the limiter. I'd wait until you've installed all your intended mods (exhaust, intake, test pipes etc) and then go for a tune at NZEFI. They'll maximize your power gains and also remove the limiter.

Or buy Osiris and do it all yourself haha

thanks for the reply.

if I plug a nz new ecu in, will that work? I have a rev-up version.

or should I just go for reflash.

hks have a fsc, but is cost quite abit.

Another option is the Osiris Uprev software. I think that might work but a re-flash will defiantly do the trick, however it wont be cheap.

nz new ecu will not work on imported cars, in fact the ecu wont work in other nz new Z too because it is married to the car's anti-theft with unique code. you can get this redone at nissan but probably not a very wise option.

only way to go is getting a reflash like already mentioned, if you are after power then you should get some high flow cats or test pipes and then get the reflash.. removing cat and getting it tuned definitely makes good power from mid to top..!

i personally dont see much point in using aftermarket ecu in 350z, stock reflash will do everything you want.. for most people :D

fyi, i personally prefer uprev osiris, had it since 2006 or something and proven to work, still using it on my 370z :D

tuner so i can fiddle with the ecu myself

i think standard doesnt allow you to use rom editor, which is needed to create your own rom, you basically tell uprev team what you have and they will create a generic map based on their database, and you can probably choose how you want ur rev/speed limit etc also, and they send you a rom file so you can reflash your car with it.

with tuner one you can adjust everything urself

I did a google search for Osirus dealers/tuners in NZ, apparently there are a few shops around so you should just be able to pay a flat rate and have the local shop set it how you want it
