I average 9.5 - 9.8. Most driving is open road however I very rarely sit behind other cars and usually shift around 3000rpm. It's awesome on fuel compared to my '04 SV6 Commodore and pretty similar to my '04 Legacy GT manual.

Above quote dated last year.

After my recent intake and exhaust mods I reset the trip meter, and after about 2 hours of open road running yesterday recorded 11.8 km per litre. Average speed a shade under 100kmh with about 10 overtaking manoeuvres. I thought the economy would slip with the mods and not tuning the engine yet. Nice surprise.

Use 98 octane!

8.5-9km per L with roughly 70% in town driving. It always gets the occasional squirt just to hear the exhaust note.

From the North Canterbury cruise I achieved 10.73 km/l over 290km based on a full tank right up to the fuel cap at the start and again on return.

Needless to say economy was not a major concern on the day, so happy with that result.
