What: Canterbury October Weekend Event
When: Friday 04 October - Sunday 6 October 2013
Meet point & time Alexandra: TBC
Convoy meet point & time Christchurch: TBC
Convoy meet point & time Invercargill: TBC
Convoy meet point & time Dunedin: TBC
Hotel in Alexandra details: TBC

The plan is to use Alexandra as base for a Friday and Saturday night, as there is a good motel there.
Get together Friday night, Saturday, drive from Alexandra via Wanaka over the Crown Range, to the Nose Restaurant at Highlands Park raceway for lunch, look at museum, try the go carts etc etc..
Back to Alexandra, Saturday night dinner at Chatto Creek Pub (big roast).
Sunday breakfast, then make way home.

Make up for lost Zed driving time, join us for a Spring weekend event.

* If you're unable to attend the whole weekend, please post so we know which days you're able to attend.

** Please register so we have a show of likely numbers so Swwnz knows how many to book into each venues.

Crown Range may be better going up from the Q-town side. Unless your brakes are in good working order.

If its okay with the organiser to have the Skyline club tag along (no-one has the attitudes or anything you see on the news, and a few of our Dunedin members are 50 or older) then i'll formerly invite everyone.

Do you have a rough idea of prices for the motel etc?

Sorry guys, I'm not going to make this event. Would like to have caught up with the southern Zedders that came up to the Air Force Museum last year. And as for missing out on driving the Crown Range...

Should this perhaps be changed to something like South Island Central Otago meet? Just seems as though its for Cantabrians going by the topic title!

I think he was more referring to it being called the "canterbury meet" was misleading. Not that it really matters in my eyes.

Finances aren't looking too flash for the rest of the year dammit, so i will probably just drive up on Saturday morning and come back the same day.
