4.6 R200 LONG NOSE
4.6 R200 LONG NOSE
Has anyone got a 4.6 crownwheel and pinion for a R200 longnose they would part with? They were on some older skylines I believe.
The best location/source for one of those believe it or not is a Y31 or the Cima/Cedric/Gloria aka the last cars with the longnose R200.
All the VG20 Power Cima from 1988-1991 have the R200 with the 4.625 ratio the part number for the crown/pinion combo is
38100-18S01
You can get a 4.8 and 5.1 from aftermarket vendor Kameari but they will cost you around $1600.
I hope this helps - now you need to find someone wrecking a Y31 which is VG20 powered.
That radio was also fitted to the an R31 - which model/spec I will need to check...
EDIT: The SY31 which was a taxi in Japan based on the Y31 was made right up to 99 and these too with a VG20e have the long nose R200 with the 4.626 ratio
EDIT - Again: Right the R31 with the 4.625 needs to be a RB20D powered car with an Auto manufactured after 05/86 aka last of the R31's then it should have the 4.625 - if an earlier car it will have the 4.375 ratio.
Hope that helps.

And I know you have the info too - maybe you need to spend more time at nights going over the FAST system you have - ok I need to get a life and not do that and actually get out to the shed a put a zed back together...yes I know I know.....Andy wrote:Excellent Mike thanks I knew someone would have that info
Yes young Michael, finish it before you re-design it again! Mind you I will miss the parts source if you finish.nzeder wrote:And I know you have the info too - maybe you need to spend more time at nights going over the FAST system you have - ok I need to get a life and not do that and actually get out to the shed a put a zed back together...yes I know I know.....Andy wrote:Excellent Mike thanks I knew someone would have that info
I dont want to skyte but I have 3.1, 3.5, 3.7, 3.9, 4.1, 4.3, I am only using the two last ones as we are speed limited in our event and 4.375 is good for my current tyre radius but we are buying new shoes and socks and 4.6 appears correct with the new tyres and planned gearbox modifications. I have located a couple in AUS but a little overpriced, almost same as new imported cost. And yes I know 3.1 is a rare ratio, Sorry I have already promised it to a fellow club member.
so 3.3 missing, the 4.6 you are after, the 4.8 and 5.1 then you have the whole gambit (those last 2 are custom made and rare like the 3.1)
