4 Nissan Convertibles required ITM 400, Drivers Parade

Post by BRONZEE » Wed Mar 13, 2013 4:46 pm

4 Nissan convertibles are required for the Drivers Parade for this year’s ITM 400 @ Pukekohe on Sunday 14 April 2013.

"What we are looking for is 4 ideally roadster convertibles to take part in the Drivers Parade at the ITM 400 Pukekohe on Sunday 14 April.

The drivers parade takes place early Sunday afternoon, however the cars will need to be at the circuit around 10am and will be free to leave if they wish after 3pm.

The 4 cars will be for the Kelly Racing Team, each car will drive around the circuit into Pit Lane where the V8SC Driver will then sit up on the back of the car with their feet on the front seat if that makes sense, all the cars then parade around for one lap of the circuit with all the drivers.

Each parade car will receive a pass for the driver and one passenger i.e. 2 passes per car."

If your soft top Z is very tidy, and you're interested in being involved, please contact BRONZEE URGENTLY PLEASE and I'll give you the details!!!!

Mine has a big bar across behind the seat, I doubt anyone could sit as you describe, dunno about the 350 and 370 convertibles?

Not sure it'd be much use see http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-ca ... 660750.htm

How solid is that bar, would it cope with the weight of a person for one lap?

350 and 370 have plastic between seats, but I'm sure could still work.

Back view of a 350z & 370 (would need to dangle knees up and over a bit possibly):

That bar is very solid, they might fall off sitting on it tho, OSH might not be to happy, I'll have a closer look at the car.

It's a parade lap, so would imagine it would be fairly slow.

How about standing behind passangers seat of a TTop if its moved right forward I wonder if there would be enough space............ wait I'll just go and check......................................................................................................................................................................................................................

It does work, however the back rest needs to be set forward........

I did suggest this to the organiser the other day, but they'd prefer a full soft top. 8) Thank you for the offer though.

The little late 60's Fairlady roadster, of which we have one, and the 300zx (Z32) and 350 & 370 all have a roadster variant. :D

There maybe other models of Nissan roadster that I'm not aware of. I'm sure our resident Datsun geek Mr NZeder will know. 8)

If you are finding it hard to get all four vehicles I have seen in my travels a convertible Silvia Varietta if that is open to inclusion.

It is for sale of trademe check link below. Owner maybe interested.
