TAUPO TRACK DAY!!!! YEAH!!!! - Saturday 15 Feb 2014

Some of you may have heard the loud noises coming from my car after only 5 laps on the track.

Bit of a bugger really as Chad and Dale had put in a lot of work to pull out the engine and fix a manifold leak and get it all ready for the track. But that's motorracing.

So the funny noises were from the gear box



Yup have broken off a couple of teeth off second gear. Unlucky for me the gear set is an OS Giken close ratio kit so quite rare.

OH well at least I did not embarrass myself by bragging about winning the trophy at drivers briefing.

Yep I sure did hear some loud noises coming from inside the car, but it wasn't the gearbox.

On the bright side she will be a lot lighter now that it doesn't have to carry a full wallet around.

Ouch, hate it when that happens.


Just on another note I have someones small extinguisher still in my truck, it was placed there at track day.
