Our pleasure Steve - great to see you guys making it up here. Hope the drive home was pleasant and uneventful. Looking forward to coming down your way sometime next year.

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks Chris for organinsing a fantastic day.

The tour behind the scenes at Wigram was great. I never fully appreciated the amount of time and dedication that are invested by a few people to preserve aviation history for us all.

Very pleasant lunch at Little River, and a nice little blat most of the way up the hill (before encountering dithering traffic!) to the Hilltop Tavern to look out over Akaroa Harbour. Then another spirited drive most of the way to Akaroa for a well deserved beverage at the Grand Hotel. Jared (son) drove us home. All in all a good workout for the Potenzas before they are retired for a set of Yokohamas in a couple of weeks.

Good to see the Alexandra contingent make the long trek up the island, altough it sounds like you have made many a long trek in the past!

Now I just have to try to remember how to post pics in the designated spot!

Haven't heard what happened to Brian yet - hopefully he and the car are OK. It was a long trip down from Hamilton, so maybe a gremlin in the works scuppered things.

Ha! Might have to start calling the car... Biggis Dickis (snigger, snigger)! Ten points for the origin of that one.
