Hi guys,

Just doing some research befor I buy me a new 350Z. My mate from work suggested that I look on the forums for some advice befor buying one, since I can't find any complete answers for 2 of my questions I thought I'll ask.

What type of petrol? And what type of oil does it use?

Hope to hear from the club soon & show some photos too!

Hi Ben

Welcome to the forum.

There are others far more knowledgable than I on these matters, however I use only 98 octane fuel, and Mobil 1 oil.

98 is more expensive but in my experience I get better economy than with lower octane petrol. Not sure, but 91, while cheaper, may actually damage the engine.

Welcome to the forum. 8)

Should be fed a steady diet of 98 octane, 95 only in emergencies and a small amount to get you to the next 98 octane station, especially if you have one of the early model ones.

5W 30.

What year and spec are you hoping to buy?

Ok CVT oil.... ummm no more like the DEX3+ like Penrite ATF MHP and it should take 10.3 litres however it should not be changed unless it really really needs it.

Best oil for the VQ is a good SN grade.

My opinion the best oils

this is awesome
Penrite Sin 5(5w-60)or Sin 10(10w-70)
or ten tenths racing 10w-40

Motul oils are very good.

Valvoline oils I find are great for everyday use.
A few projects on the go....

Welcome to the forum.

Get a 2007 (HR engine) or later if you can - you won't regret it.

Good luck; you're gonna love it!
