Hey,
Can anyone recommend a place to get a 260z dyno-tuned in Auckland please?
Thanks!

It's not running very well. Flares up between gears.

Do you mean the revs increase when you take your foot off the gas?

Does not sound like a job for a dyno. to me.

From memory your car has a 280 engine with SU carbs, is that right?

If it has SU carbs, your problem COULD be as simple as unscrewing the little black plastic caps. One at the top of each carb, withdraw the plunger, and put some very thin oil in there. It's very simple.

You can fill it to the brim, and then push the little plunger back in, which will push out unwanted oil. There is an exact ammount of oil, but not sure.
It takes very little.

Auto trans fluid or similar works fine. Just thin oil. This acts as a damper to stop the carburettor slide fluttering open when it's not supposed to.

Give it a try.
