Personally I think in place of the (stupid) S65AMG should be the W126 S class (though much higher on the list)
This S class told the world pretty much what Mercedes can and does build a reliable, super comfortable, immensely capable and technological flagship sedan. It introduced the modern airbag for crying out loud!

I also feel the Prius should be much higher on the list. Though as an enthusiast, nobody likes the prius, but you can't doubt the fact that it changed the entire game

And was it me or were there no E36 or E46 3 series? (I saw the M3, but no normal 3 series) These cars set a benchmark for what executive compact sedans should be like

R35 GTR should be on the list too. It's also a game changer, a car that outruns most of the exotics for a third of the price?

And Jaguar XF? Finally a new looking Jag lol. Kinda disappointed the E39 M5 didn't make the list, that's the best M5 IMO

Might I add Hyundai Sonata and Genesis in there? The revolution of Korean cars, and they're doing very well in USA market.

Pretty cool list overall but as the article says, directed towards USA

I dont believe that this list is a rating or pole as such. Placing seems irrelevant.
