Lost a Friend today!

Post by NOSFEDZ32 » Wed Aug 25, 2010 9:23 pm

My friend from school who owned a 76' S30 260z died on the nz roads, the roads where not to blame it was the fact he was an alcoholic and a drunk driver.

It seems a waste of a life he was a father and a friend.

Not good. I don't think you could have lined up with the pole any better if you tried too !!

He should have been taken off the road before this. Not that easy I guess.

The drink drive laws are not tough enough. For that matter none of our laws are.
We hear this morning two elderly people in ChCh killed by some clown trying
to evade Police. They had just put the siren on. 600 metres later, through a red
light and two innocent people lose their lives.
No doubt the Police will get the blame once again!!!
This criminal needs life behind bars.
When I was a teenager we got up to some pretty hairy stuff at times, but we had
great respect for the boys in blue. This respect has completely vanished today.
The swearing and boozing in public on a daily basis and in front of police never used to
be tolerated. You would have been arrested. Hell, where is this country going?
Graffiti, my God don't get me started.

I agree very much so. It's basically no respect not only for the police but for other road users and property.

Its a sad read but this sort of stuff really scares me as i do a lot of driving around the country for work. I would hate to be wiped out by a drunk or reckless driver on some country road. Sorry for the loss of your friend - it is a waste of a life.
