New to Z club and needing parts

Post by grumpyrat » Tue Apr 27, 2010 8:55 am

Hi, I'm new to this internet chat room stuff so please be understanding if my wording isn't correct
I have a 1972 240Z project car, I don't know too much about these cars except I like the look.
How ever I'm after some parts
I need all side glass and rear quarter window chrome trim
Front right indicator unit,Rear tail light backing mounts as I have lenses
Chrome trim around front windscreen and rear screen
Hatch hinge and all rubbers for car
Also I've been told the diffs in these are strong? is this true?As this car has serious power

Welcome to the forum

Im sure dave will be able to help out with parts

The diffs are strong but guess it depends how serious your power is, The weak link is usually the half shafts followed by the stub axles. but there are some upgrades that can be done.

Welcome Grumpy :) Also would be worth your while to get on the forum at Classic Z, and ask for suppliers, especially for your rubber parts.Motorsport Auto and Black Dragon Automotive spring to mind. Tail light are being remade.

Hi Grumpyrat,

Welcome to the forum. Judging by the list of bits you are after you must have bought that V8 engined 240Z that was on TradeMe a few weeks ago. I have most of the bits you need if Dave at Z Parts can't supply them - other than the new rubbers that is as I will need the new set I have.

Let me know what else you need after you talk to Dave. You can email me at 240z@classic.co.nz

Grumpyrat ---if you have the Supercharged V8 Z, another useful site for you would be Hybrid Z. Its all been done before.
