Tyre Pressure

Post by Brock365 » Fri Jun 23, 2006 8:05 pm

I have had conflicting advice about my tyre pressures, anwhere from 20 - 40 PSI.
WHat pressure should I use?

I've always put tyre pressures between 29 and 32psi for normal road cars, depending on what I'm doing. If carrying heaps of weight in the rear, increase the rear to 34-36psi, but no more (and remember to deflate them afterwards back to your normal pressure).

You should be able to tell when driving the car, how it handles. Find the balance you like (remembering that over and under inflating tyres will lead to premature and uneven tyre wear) and are comfortable with. Try starting with 32psi and go from there.

Just my 2¢
