Matakana Run - August 2nd
Matakana Run - August 2nd
For a northern run this year we are having a run out to Matakana on a couple lesser used roads. Plan is as follows:
Date: August the 2nd 2020
Start: Meet at Kumeu Bakehouse 250 Main Road, State Highway 16.
Grab a coffee and wait for arrivals. Leave Kumeu at 10.30am on the dot.
Travel up State Highway 16. Turning right onto West Coast Rd. Continue through onto Woodcocks Rd onto State Highway 1 and drive to the Warkworth intersection.
Turn right into Sandspit and directly left into Matakana Rd.
Turn left into Matakana Valley Rd at Matakana and park for lunch or find parking in Matakana.
We will meet at the Rusty Pelican for Lunch. (Rusty Pelican is by the roundabout in Matakana Village).
From there we will continue through Matakana Valley Rd into
Wellsford.
Drive back down State Highway 1 into Warkworth and meet at the
Riverside parking on Wharf St.
Grab a drink with us at Wharf Bistro, if fine sit at the park benches if
not assemble in the Wharf Bistro.
The event finishes at this point and you can work you own way
home.

I will be there, looking forward to it.
We are happy for anyone that enjoys a drive in their car to come along, doesn't have to be a Z. Could be your daily. Just join in. It would be helpful if you advise attendance otherwise just meet us at the Bakehouse .

I will be there, in either the Z or the German Datsun, depending on weather.
My thanks to all those who attended. was a great chance to enjoy some of New Zealand's great roads and share time with fellow Z enthusiasts. Loved the Old Chev that joined us on the run.
Again a real blast and a chance to use our cars in a way they were built for.
looking forward to the next Waikato Event.
Thanks, nustad for posting the pics I believe our resident photographer has more picks coming. I will do a bit of a write up in our next mailout and include some good pics there as well.
