The guys at work do it, it's extremely time consuming and to do a full loom takes days of planning. Looks cool when it's done though.martysauce wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 3:18 pmyeah i herd it was a good idea so thought i'd give it a go

If I were to try run my vg30dett engine out of the car with an ecu and engine loom, which wires would i need to run power to? I am going to try use a spare loom i have laying around while i build another. I have built a fuse/relay box so the power wires will be switched and fused.
Cheers guys

So I haven't posted in a while but a few things have changed and I have gotten a bit more done thanks to the lockdown. I bit the bullet and had an engine loom built so I don't need to worry about too much wiring. I have started to try and learn to tig aluminium and although I suck at the moment I am slowly getting better. I have decided to build alloy intake piping out of 2.5" alloy which I am nearly halfway through.
I have turned an oil cooler I had laying around into a heater core so I can defrost the windscreen and get rid of excess heat if necessary.
I am potentially able to buy greedy td05 18g turbos for very cheap which seem to be a near bolt-on, other than oil lines. I know they are WAY too big for the max of 500hp that I'd be dreaming of but does anyone know how laggy they would actually be? I might just buy them for if I decide to go bigger down the track.
I am nearly at a point where I can start the car so hopefully not too long till it is able to go to the track. I'll try post some photos if I get a chance

I have not run these, but they are a old style turbo and I think they are big and laggy. Also don't you need the greedy or pentroof manifolds to go with then?
In my experience Not much point in going for big turbos, better to stick with the GT25 for 500hp and the GT28 for 600hp. You want your power coming in around 3500-4000 not 5000 like the TD05 or TD06, whether street or track.
