It may be a dumb question but....

Is the Z Club on this forum the official one registered with Motorsport NZ here? http://www.motorsport.org.nz/member-clubs/

I'm looking to join a sanctioned club and do a few laps

Steve is correct. There are also different levels of club membership, so if you're participating in MSNZ events, you'll want to be a full member with Motorsport membership. Non-motorsport membership, is purely Social.
