1974 260z future options

Post by tsclarks » Thu Jan 18, 2018 10:42 am

Hi

We have a 1974 260z and are looking whether to keep it or sell it to another enthusiast who might enjoy it, and treat it right.

Details:

1974 260z, NZ new (sold new in Palmerston North), metallic gold, 230,000km. Original motor fully rebuilt at 219,000km.
Rego on hold for last 5 years, but being reinstated this month together with new WOF.
Motor rebuild was in 2005, and the car has been shed stored for the last 10 years, with very little use.
Full history available.
The car is basically in original condition, with almost no rust, none in structural components. Interior trim is a bit worn, but still good for its age.
It is a two seater, not a 2+2.

We would be interested in what others think of the vehicle, what the interest may be if we decide to sell, and what a vehicle such as this might be worth.

Link to photos will be added shortly.

Forgot to add that we have owned this car since 1991.

Hi steve,
I currently have a 76 260z 2+2 but have always preferred the 2 seater. I bought my current car as i couldnt find a 2 seater at the time and couldnt wait any longer to get one. I would be very interested if you decided to sell. Look forward to seeing photos, Trev

Looks like a nice survivor - should find a willing market.

I would say it comes down to how patient you are in waiting for the right buyer

I would say 20+ all day long and potentially quite a bit more if you wait....
72 240z plus bits
