Hi Guys,
I would like to know if the 260z and 280z two seater body panels are interchangable with the original 240z panels
That is I plan to change a 260z 2+2 body into a two seater body, and 260z to 280z cars are much cheaper out of the states
240z to 280z body panels
Hi
I have purchased a 260Z 2+2 RHD, without an interior, but I prefer an S30 2 seater body. So the plan is to purchase an S30 ex USA and turn my 2+2 into an S30. Have since goolgled and found that S30 up to 280z panels are interchangeable with the 260z

Malcolm, may pay to rethink, although anything can be done with will power and a dogmatic attitude.
Doors on 2+2 are longer than on a 2 seater, I understand the hatch is different? (someone help me with that one). Front guards are close enough in all models but there are bumper indent differences. I think the front guards and bonnet are the few panels that are truly identical.
Overall the 2+2 is longer, door slam shape is different between early 2 seaters, later 2 seaters and 2+2's.
There are many differences between S30 and S31 years and even more between 2 seater and 2+2 variants.
Short answer is..... don't........ Unless you like welding, cutting and solving problems.
