Compatibility of manual conversion parts

Hi guys, just joined the forum and looking forward to getting amongst it all

I've just got myself a 2005 auto 350z and plan on doing a manual conversion. FYI: For the price I picked this car up, doing the manual conversion would be significantly cheaper in my circumstance than buying a manual 350z.

The question is a double pronged one:

1. Will a 2006 manual conversion be compaitble with my 2005 car?
2. Will a 2006 gearbox from the US be compatible with my car?

The auto gearbox must have some electronic controls. Can you just disconnect them
