Whats 280zx worth

Hi everyone, I have been offered a 1979 280zx 2+2 t top to purchase, basically I am wanting to know what you guys would valve such a vehicle, the car is de registered and about 90% complete, just needs putting back together, the engine is fully rebuild, interior and body work is in reasonable condition, i know it's a hard question to answer without seeing it, just wanting a ball park figure. Any proof of the engine being rebuilt? Being deregistered is a real value reducer - any rust (and there will be rust) will need to be fixed and fixed properly before it can be reregistered. I would say $1500 - 2500.

A complete car sold on Trademe the other day for $1800ish, that was a 82 or 83 t top 2+2.

Hi thanks for that, yes have proof of rebuild, 0kms on rebuild, I can see a small amount of rust in places looks to be mainly surface, he is wanting $3500 so think I will stay away from it.
