Progress on the car has been slow, life doesn't seem to slow down these days...

Headers are done, Driveshaft is being made, seats are coming and going, MOTEC sensors acquired, carbs being freshened up, flares grafted onto panels, fuel system is almost there

Still lots to do but we are getting there and can see the light now

Cheers for that, hopefully either that or it will go like Sht! Maybe both!

Hopefully not too loud with the Adrenalin muffler

Cheers..

Bodywork starting to go on now, looking good but going to need some more Hp to push that air dam!

Seat to be mounted next, new rear wing, bonnet pins & vents, carbs are off being re-built, mount new catch cans, need to finally decide on what I'm doing with the G/box, driveshaft, MOTEC sensors are in, new leads, Heat shield under carbs, mirrors, throttle cable-carb linkage, lots of little things!

sorry if you have already said, but whats the overall plan for this monster. Targa, track, build and sell? hope not the last one though.

Would be really cool to see this car reliving some of it's old racing days with it's former carer. 8)

Hi Chris, the plan is to run the car at local car club meetings here in Ak as much as I can.

We have a series here in Ak called ACJS (all classic Jap series) which it will fit into but I would really like to fit her into more of a classic series like the ERC Arrow series but the eligibility (due to its previous mods) is sadly questionable.

Slow progress over the last little while but progress nonetheless. Getting exciting now shes not too far away... Really please how its coming along and felt we have made some sensible decisions along the way and not being sucked into trying to make it something shes not.

She came out of the shop and saw daylight for first some in some 12 months! Its OK I made sure she had sunblock on!

It was home for some tidy up, diff gearset change, fluids etc then it was back out to friends at GER checked over the engine (that dad assembled before he died) and run it up on the Dyno for a tune. She ran up really well and surprised a few people to say the least with what she put out. Pretty happy with the balance of the combination and for a first season back in a 'saloon car' it will perfect start to learn the car and then we can look at openings up her lungs more after we get to know each other.

Just finishing touches now,

-Review gearbox options & consider doing box before track
-Tidy up electrical wires, few little things to sort out as well to tie in with the Motec
-Go over brakes, replace rotors and new pads
-Go over shocks and check spring rates
-Belts, mirrors, tow points,
-Brake ducts
-Tidy up some body work
-Tidy up engine bay a little
-Paint or a wrap
-Tyres
-Airbox ?
-Alignment & corner weights

Will be track days with the Z to begin with due to, well Life and other projects but the goal is to have her race ready regardless.

Cheers for that, not massive revs or power but a good safe, drivable 3l that will get us going again, been awhile between drinks
