Spark Plugs

Post by harlequin2 » Sat Apr 18, 2015 9:10 am

My car has 90,000 kms on the clock and I thought I'd fit a new set of plugs while also fitting the MREV2 lower plenum. I was horrified to find that Repco wanted $52 EACH for NGK PLFR5A-11 plugs! So I looked on TradeMe and found a fellow in ChCh advertising Denso plugs - he says for Peugeot V6, but they are the same as the NGKs - for $16 each. Less than $100 for a set.I bought 6 and duly fitted them no prob.

When Zilver does his group buys, you can get the NGK's from COZ, and it works out very substantially cheaper. 8)

Would've been handy to know that before! Since it'll probably be another 100,000 kms before they get changed again, it might be a few years.....

The Densos look identical to the NGKs as far as the electrodes are concerned.
