but Clark put the Escort into the fence at Pukekohe a couple of weeks ago.

it needs a fair bit of work before Targa Rotorua in June!!!!

well watching the beast trying to control him was kinda fun, but again cos it went in the wall was not a fualt of the engine now was it... :P

if anybody checks out www.redz31.com you will see some good dyno graphs of vg30et engines pushing 450 hp on stock bottem ends with only flowed heads,bigger turbos and a way of controlling fuel/spark.
After pulling my Z31 engine to bits at 320,00 kms it showed no moe than a few thou bore wear vavle seats were reasonable and everything seemed very good condition. tuff stuff. the only real fatal weakness with vg engines seems to be that pistons fail around 400-450 hp but thats hardly the fault of a cast piston only designed to handle 250 hp

ultimate Z31 engine is made from a VG33ER block VG30ET heads, VH45 Pistons, VG30DETT Forged rods and crank..pressto something nasty.....
