What: 2015 42nd Intermarque Concours Tour d'Elegance
When: Saturday 7th February 2015 (Interclub Fun Run)
Time: 9:20am at the latest (earlier the better for good spot - to avoid traffic jam)
Where: Please note, the start points will be different this year, not from Ellerslie as in the past.
End for all run groups: Vellenoweth Green in St Heliers, Auckland
Price info: Your $5 towards the costs of staging this event will be collected on arrival - please ensure you are prepared
Things to bring Saturday: lunch & refreshments (or there are cafes nearby Vellenoweth Green), clipboard, pen and navigator/friends/family.

Saturday 7th Feb 2015 morning: the MG Car Club organised Fun Run. This year the concept is different – no longer departing from Ellerslie race course but from a variety of destinations around Auckland…driving to St Heliers at the end in a car show of sorts for the public.

Tour d'Elegance - Saturday 7th February 2015, morning

PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE THE 2015 TOURS.

Tours will depart from:

1. West - Westgate Shopping Centre - Massey / Taupaki / Kumeu / Riverhead / Waikoukou Valley / Waimauku / Kumeu / Waitakere / Waiatarua / Green Bay / Hillsborough / Epsom / Newmarket / Remuera / St Heliers.
Run time approx 2 hours covering 100kms / 60mls. This is a very nice drive through the Waitakere Ranges.

2. Northcote - Poenamo Hotel Car Park - East Coast Bays / Northcross / Coatesville / Riverhead / Whenuapai / Greenhithe / Glenfield / Northcote / City / Tamaki Drive / Mission Bay / St Heliers.
Run time approx 2 hours covering 100kms / 60mls. This tour has been updated for the 2015 event.

3. Greenlane - Ellerslie Racecourse - Ramarama / Ararimu / Hunua / Brookby / Howick / Musick Point / Bucklands Beach / Half Moon Bay / Pakuranga / Panmure / Point England / Glendowie / St Heliers.
Run time approx 2 hours. This tour is being updated for the 2015 event, further details to follow.

4. Papakura - BP Service Centre, Papakura on SH1 - Ramarama / Hingaia / Karaka / Takanini / Alfriston / Flat Bush / Highbrook / Pakuranga / Mt Wellington / Point England / Glen Innes / St Heliers.
This tour is being updated for the 2015 event, further details to follow.

5. Pukekohe - BP Service Centre, Bombay / Ramarama / Ararimu / Hunua / Clevedon / Maraetai / Whitford / Pakuranga / Panmure / St Heliers. This tour is being updated for the 2015 event, further details to follow.

6. Albany - Mills Lane carpark (near North Harbour Stadium) off Oteha Valley Road - Albany / Coatesville / Riverhead / Taupaki / Massey / Lincoln / Pt Chevalier / Westmere / Grey Lynn / City / Auckland Domain / Remuera / Kohimarama / St Heliers.
Run time approx 1½ hours covering 70kms / 44mls. Another very nice drive through the western North Shore countryside.

Useful info:

(40 cars per run and places will be allocated on a first-registered with Concours-first-served basis). Tour numbers may change from the past, subject to Concours approval.

Spaces are limited and will be allocated strictly in order of receipt. All entries will close on (Tuesday 27th January 2015) , and you will then be mailed your detailed Information Pack.

ENTRY TO THIS EVENT IS A $5.00 PER CAR DONATION ON THE DAY.

Entries Close Tuesday 27th January 2015 TBC and you will be e-mailed the web address to print off your own detailed Information Pack the week before the run, which will include the exact meeting directions & run instructions. Entries received by post will have their Information Pack posted earlier.

On the day all runs will start at 10:00am so please be there by 9:30am at the latest to allow for the drivers' briefing, etc. Your $5.00 donation towards the costs of staging this event will be collected on arrival at the start and it would be appreciated if you could bring the correct money in order to minimise the need for issuing change.

Each driver will receive a Meguiar's Goodie Bag at your applicable start venue.

As always, it is recommended that you bring a picnic lunch, but there are shops within comfortable walking distance of Vellenoweth Green if you wish to purchase lunch instead.

Come and join us for a great morning's adventure and an enjoyable drive with old and new friends on one of these six runs. If you enjoyed one of the runs in 2014, how about trying a different one in 2015.[/b]

Make sure those Zeds are super shiny, and lets put on a good display. Remember this is our opportunity to promote our club, & find new club members & have a fun day!!

If you've not done a rally or trial before, this could be just the one for you, or even if you're a seasoned rallyiest, this is a great opportunity to show off your Zed and our Z Club, at the start and especially at the end point at St Heliers, as it's a bit of a show at the end on the village green.

If you've never done a rally or fun run, these are lot of fun, and easy to do for a first time, and just as much fun for those of us that have done more than a few rallies.

Just don't follow the car in front of you, ............. quite possible they maybe lost, stick to your instructions.

Any takers? This is a good fun event attended by a good variety of cars. And at only $5 the entry fee is great value for money.

Might be a bit late for the Fun Run organisers though, as they won't have time to get the route pack etc out.

I put in my entry Las night. A little late, they email out the info pack with maps etc. I'll be doing the albany run.
Have emailed them to see when cut off is.

Another great fun run event. Great weather, heaps of cars of all shapes and sizes, and only 1 zed!!

Next year we'll be organised and have lots of Zeds doing the fun run as they're great fun and really easy if it's a first time doing a rally. Just as much fun if you've done lots of rallies and trials too.
