I've heard people say that their backsides slide around a bit on the leather Z33 seats. I'm quite happy with my fabric ones, for that reason (I can live without heated seats). :-)

I don't have leather!

Kind of a downside when I first purchased the car, as I never intended to track it. At all. However, after taking the car on some nice twisties on a quiet night on the State Highways outside of cop filled Auckland, I found the car very exciting to drive.

So... Now, my plan on having this classy 350z, has changed, I am now going to be looking into several different routes, new brakes, brake ducting, new tires, new seats, more power, this will be an interesting build

Ah, due to your warm backside I assumed you had leather seats! :-)

It's hard being a hot ass all the time ;D

Tonight, only because I have some fibreglass mat left over, I'm going to start practicing.. I plan on making some carbon fibre goodies. And until I move into my new place, the bumper cannot come off for my brake ducting..

Maybe a harness bar will be made..

Maybe a new door handle..

Maybe even a new gear knob.

We just don't know.

Keep us posted on progress.

ps, agreed when pushing on the track, leather seats are a bit slippery even with the large stock bolsters.

Car needs a bit of love and care after the track day, I feel terrible. Bring on the xmas break! New oil, filter, plugs, flushes, diff fluid.

I will definitely be attending the track day in Taupo, I forgot how much fun the track days are..!

Planning on doing at least two track days a month next year.

Racking up those k's... almost at 175,000!

2015 has a lot in store for the zed already,

Taupo track day with the Z club,
10th of Jan with Play day On Track
then two weeks in March hitting up the south island!

So with this in mind, I have about 10-12 days off over the Christmas break which is going to be full of working on the Zed.

Harness bar, audio install/finish, new bucket seat, new intakes, new exhaust, new suspension arms, hopefully new suspension, new tires..

God, this is going to be expensive!

Most definitely will! Going to be quite good, as I have some work I need to do down in the south island too, so not all play!

Will see if we can get a Z club meet going on! And if not, just any meet!

Well, the time has come to admit that the 350, is, and always was a much more superior car than my Miata.

It's also come time to start work on getting it a little more comfortable for the track, I didn't want to cage this car as I have already had 3 caged street cars, and to be honest, they just aren't that comfortable when stepping out (or in) wearing a suit.

So, a harness bar has become "necessary" I have been doing a bit of research here and there on them, and after looking at the fundamentals of them, I have finally come to the aesthetics side. I really like the design of the harness bar below

And as such, I have started building my own, as of last night I have got one layer of fibreglass done, and it's looking relatively plausible!
I think by the end of it, my harness bar will be similar thickness and around 25-30 layers of glass and carbon fibre.

The selling point for me? The one pictured weighs a whopping 17 lbs!

Happy new years all!

I have some exciting updates!
Firstly, the car is waxed, and looking fresh.
The car now has some incredible tints.
I have nearly finished polishing my most recent pick up (SSR's)
I have new camber arms ready to install
I also have new coilovers ready to go in!

Seen that a few times! Not a huge fan of the supercharged ones.. You are spending quite a bit of money, for very little gains.

I'm just holding out for my motor to blow, then 13b!

So, onto the wheels!

They are pretty cool wheels - picked them up for a steal of $250 WITH tires!

I need to get them relipped, and some bolt on spacers, but that will all happen in due course.

Pictures are more fun than anything else.

This is what I started with..

After a couple of hours of sanding and polishing I got to this!

Not too bad.. But not ideal, and here is a picture of the two side by side..

Quite a nice difference IMO.

Annnd Tints! 25% all round :)
