If you thought the 2013 Concours show was great, 2014 will be fabulous! There will be a full weekend of Classic Car activities, culminating in the Intermarque Concours d 'Elegance on the Sunday.

* Sunday 9th February we return to Ellerslie for a whole day of events, including the 41st Intermarque Concours d'Elegance.

2014 will be the biggest classic car event ever with more clubs, more cars, more commercial exhibits and expect record crowds. 2013 had over 80 car clubs on display, 2014 promises to be more. So make the New Zealand Classic Car Weekend 2014 a priority event- as there is bound to be some extra special cars there.

ELLERSLIE CLASSIC CAR SHOW KEEPS GROWING!

Organisers of the Ellerslie Intermarque Concours & Classic Car show and hosts Auckland Mustang Owners Club are well revved up for 2014.
Entries are now flooding in for the February 9th event with 75 -80 clubs again expected to air their collections of Marques and models spanning around a hundred years.
Annual exhibit numbers now average around 750-800 vehicles – a far cry from the first show 41 years ago.

Theme this year is the often-suggested “Back to the future” – reflected in the Classic Cover Insurance Best Club Display.

Show sponsor NZ Classic Car magazine is pulling out the stops with a spectacular Newmarket Room exhibition. It’ll feature what just could be the De Lorean that made the “back to the future” theme timeless – looking as though it has just travelled from the movie set if not another era.

Organisers work hard to ensure that it’s not just the “same old show” each year – hence significant development in recent years.
For the first time there’s an as yet unsponsored “Survivors” class competition featuring cars over 35 years old that are un-restored but still stunning and running!

Arrow Wheels are the new supporters of the MG Car Club-organised Motorkhana – possibly in its last few years due to Ellerslie Race Course redevelopment.
And there is the Multi-million dollar NZ Classic Car Magazine Intermarque Concours d’Elegance competition for Master Class and club Teams events.

You’ll be able to buy Meguiar’s car care products, Parkside Media’s car magazines, essential accessories, clothing, books, repair and restoration services, and tours as well as a cluster of new exhibitors’ products and services. The Sound FM will again add to the atmosphere with background music from an era reflecting most cars on display.

Expect a larger motor industry presence too with the latest luxury, prestige and performance cars from Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jaguar, Jeep, Lamborghini, Mini, Range Rover, Renault, Rolls Royce, and Volvo with more exotics to be announced.

It’s a fascinating and fun day for classic car petrol heads if not the family or those in search of nostalgia from their youth.
The day before the show (Feb 8), the Meguiar’s “Tour d’Elegance” Classic Fun Run is expected to again attract several hundred cars.
It’ll follow the same routes as 2013 with Vellenoweth Green in St Heliers as the end destination for a barbecue or detour to a nearby cafe.
It’s an enjoyable day and costs only $5.00 donation per vehicle. Entries close Tuesday 28th January.

Please note that the Lollypops entrance that "show" cars usually use, is no longer able to use, so to avoid any congestion on the streets, the committee has devised a plan where we will use multiple entries depending where your club is sited within the grounds.

As soon as we have the new entrance map we will put it on the site for "show" car entrance.

Please note those exhibiting their Zed, entry is to be made via the MAIN ENTRY GATE. Not via the Lollipops entrance!

Found some video of Ellerslie Intermarque. Unfortunately it doesn't touch on any Zeds.
Skip to 11.40 for some of the cutaway engine running, and a fleeting glimpse of 'Doc'

Brad Lord has submitted a feature on the concours on the Speedhunters page which includes a nice picture of Brian and Sheryll's 240z and Dave's Roadster.

Nice one!
