In fact, my Z should have the vents. When I restored it I couldn't find new vents. The older were broken. The solution was to cover that part.
But soon I'll solve that situation and put it original.
The Zs from first generation had some diferences (for ex: closed stearing wheel, valve cover "nissan 2400 OHC", and other details)

My Z is from 1st generation (March 1970) chassis number: HLS-002584.

Came to Portugal in 1976 from Angola.

That's one well traveled Zed! You certainly wouldn't think of Z's being in Angola.

Thats a very nice restoration job Jose'.

If only i could remove my steering wheel , i could make it look as good as yours.
I have tried many times, but it won't come off.

How about some pictures of scenery in your country. 8)

You need a wheel puller. I made one once...no idea where it is these days

Try putting some heat into the steering wheel hub and expanding it off the steering shaft

The gas torch idea is fraught with disaster i think Merlin.

Fear not Bernie. I will leave as is.

I tried the puller idea, but there is nowhere to hook or bolt it too withought damaging something. :?

I made a puller to remove a Corrolla steering wheel once. There were bolt holes supplied for the purpose.

Hi there Bernie,
I'm quickly coming to the mind that there is no such thing as a standard early Z, if half the stuff that is in my Japanese assembled 260Z is anything to go by. Its a 50/50 mix of 240 and 260z bits and every time I think I have my Z sorted out parts wise, I find another random part attached somewhere which isn't standard 260z kit.
OOOOpppssss my manners, welcome to the forum Jose' great to see your 240Z, I know that if you managed to travel out to New Zealand, that there would be a big Z welcoming red carpet from our Z members and I'd be the first to show you my part of the Kiwi country side if your travels took you past my home town.
Thanks for sharing your pic's with us all.

Hi,

Sorry for not share more photos. At the moment I'm working in switzerland and I'm having problems with my computer. Soon I'll put more photos.

Nigel, it would be great to visit NZ.
Hope to do that soon...

Jose
