Post by nismoracer » Thu Apr 04, 2013 8:28 pm

can anyone advise how to fix a squeaky clutch...as in where to spray the CRC...in my skyline i could pull a plug out from under the car & spray the clutch cable so im hoping its that easy for the 350

How old a Skyline did you have for it to have a cable clutch?

Pretty much the only place you can do externally is where the push rod from the clutch slave meets the clutch fork but you are better off putting a little bit of grease or copper anti seize there rather than CRC, if you are very careful then try pulling the fork boot up a little bit and spraying the clutch fork pivot but you don't want any sort of lube to get onto the clutch itself.

They don't run a concentric slave cylinder do they?

The squeek is probably a return spring or a dry pedal pivot or something as simple as that.

Get an assistant to press the pedal while you try to locate the noise.

Not too hard even for someone with no knowledge of mechanics.
A shot of CRC won't hurt. (Unless you squirt some in your eyes)

For a 350Z 2003 - 2007 then it can only squeak from two places which can be fixed with a spray lubricant.

(1) The fulcrum point or the return spring at the top of the pedal.

(2) Clutch fork fulcrum point inside gearbox bell housing which can be accessed by pulling back the rubber clutch fork boot down beside the clutch slave cylinder.
