New 260z 2+2 owner and loving it...

Post by Suikerbossie » Tue Feb 26, 2013 9:10 pm

Hi all,

We recently purchased a '78 260z 2+2. Looking forward to restoring her and taking her along to club gatherings in the future.
This is a whole new big adventure for us but we are very keen and would love to pick all you Z lovers brains

Cheers
The McLaren's

Hi us2,

She's a keeper :) She is mostly in good condition. The body needs a bit of work and few little cosmetic interior/exterior things we would like to restore.
Big learning curve for us but really looking forward to it. Id say our first thing to do would be the paint job & small rust repairs. Though they have been dealt with we feel that its probably in best interest to take it back to bare metal and do it all properly.

What would your recommendations be for paints (brands)?

McLaren's (Celeste & Mike) :)

Well,-- panel and paint is not my thing, but others here are in the trade.

Hope to see you at a meet sometime soon.
