Random dash-light-of-doom!!

Post by Pest » Fri Jan 12, 2007 6:41 pm

I have this light in my dash center console. It's red and has "BRAKE" written on it. It has wires going to it and a bulb that appears to be OK.

I have never seen it light up. I have no idea what it indicates (it's not the hand-brake, there's a different light for that and it works)

Any ideas?

My guess would be low brake fluid warning, have the same on mine and never seen it light up either.

i have a similar thing in my dash, but it is a seatbelt warning light.
Doesnt actually have a light behind it, so it cant light up at all

Ooooh, I saw it go on today!

It seems to be some kind of engine warning light, it lit up for a brief second while the starter was turning over but before it fired.

Isn't a brake line pressure warning light?
