VG30DE fuel lines

Post by toby_tec » Fri Jun 29, 2012 3:35 pm

Hi there,
wondering if anybody here has replaced the engine bay fuel lines on a VG30DE them selves?
specifically the short section between the two fuel rails with out removing the plenum?
if so would you have any recomendations?
i.e. approx how long it will take or "for the love of all thats good dont do it!"

cheers.

short update
result! fuel smell in cabin is gone.
fuel lines replaced, nothing too hard, other than getting the new hose on the old pipes.
some fidley work, a few cruse words here and there.
i think it took all up about 4 hours (spread over 2 days).

final recomendation, i am by no strech of the imagination a "competent mechanic" but with a little help from a friend and
only basic tools we managed to replace all fidley hoses with out much difficulty and with out removing the plenem.

Good on yah. Yeah that short fuel line is reknown for being a bothersome fix.

Swearing seems to fix most things in the Zs engine Bay.
