Genuine Nissan Parts? RRP?
Genuine Nissan Parts? RRP?
Hi all,
Does any one know if Nissan NZ have a recommended retail price (RRP) for all of their genuine parts (as they seem to do in the states)?
I've called Gazley Nissan in Wellington on a number of occasions and the markup they put on parts is ridiculous. They want $50+GST for a simple o-ring: http://www.courtesyparts.com/17342-seal ... 15_729_733& - And I need 2. So $115 for two bits of rubber.
I'd actually called up 2 weeks earlier and was quoted $40+GST, but when I laughed in their face they quickly dropped it to $30+GST.
These guys are absolute sharks. Is it worth reporting them to Nissan NZ?

Hi there,
any good engineering shop should have a wide and varied range of o-rings in stock.
0-rings ain't made of special rubber, but if you buy from a dealer, then you are paying their over all stock level price, because it may sit on their shelves for quite awhile.
Take in a sample so an engineer can measure it up and I'd be surprised if you have to pay more than $25 for the two you need, thats unless the 0-rings in question are rather large diameter.
