Post by big sam » Thu Mar 13, 2014 6:10 pm

Hi all,
Does anybody know of a good source of rear wheel bearings? In particular the outers.

You can get a kits from Pacific Bearing in Otahuhu - I have purchased 2 kits from there and sent others there in the past too - and someone still owes me a set ;)

If you want some in a hurry Tim - shoot me a PM and you can pick one of my kits here at home (just around the corner from you per say) then just replace the kit ;)

I assume Auckland Bearings in Glenfield can also get the same kit for those on the shore. I got mine from Pacific Bearings as the are on the way to the office.

Cost was around $150 excluding grab stanch and take. Part number on the invoice is AB6463 kit uses nashi and or nsk bearings and seal ie good Japanese bearings not some other source.

Hope that helps. The at Pacific was great to deal with it was too easy.

Hi there Mike,
cheers for that. I'll be sure to look them up.
I thought, even though my Z hadn't done that many km's, seeing as I was pulling the half shafts, that I might as well replace both sides while I've got it apart.
Cheers.

I spoke to pacific bearings and auckland bearings this morning.
Auckland bearings has either the kits or the individual bearings and seals available.
And pacific have just the kits cost for the kit $142.50+GST

Does the 240Z take the same rear wheel bearings as the 260Z?

A job made a lot easier if you have a compressor and a 1/2" rattle gun. I also made up the hub adapter and a slide hammer.
