Rebuilding R180 Diff.

Hey.

I have my R180 diff stripped and am in the process of buying new bearings and seals etc. Does anyone know where I can get the seals from because my local bearing and transmission place doesnt have them. Does Z parts have them?

Also does anyone have the backlash settings for the diff? I was told 5 Thou.

Hi Chris - not sure about the backlash question but have you tried Nissan for the seals - or Subaru (a number of their cars have R180's in them and yes some are LSD and long nose too) now having said that I have a R180 with CV setup that I am never going to use - it is from a S12 rear end - it is an open diff and I have not checked the ratio but you can have it for $100 including the CV half shafts.

Now other places to try for the seals are - the old victoriabritsh now known as BlackDragon (this is were I got my R200 seals from when I ordered some other parts) here is a link to their website BlackDragonAuto.com and here is a link to their online catalog with the diff seals
