On Discovery Turbo they had a nice episode on a 240Z being dragged out of the back of a garage and put back on the road.

I'm not sure if it has been shown here yet on Discovery Turbo but I have a copy a Wheeler Dealer episode where they purchase a tidy 240 in the States and convert it from auto to 5 speed as well as reprofiling the cam, fitting a new exhaust system and overhauling the carbs. Made a huge difference to the performance.

Yes, it was a sub 100 VIN and they turned it into something which tried to look like a 432 minus the guard emblems.
Added a front splitter and rear spoiler, carbon bonnet, mags. Didn't look to bad I guess.

Does having a sub 100 vin add to the value of Zds and if so why ? (my 350 is sub 100)

Being the first ever of the zed series, low VIN S30's tend to be more collectable to some and hence prices in the US anyway are higher for low VIN S30's.
Not so sure the same thing applies for the 350z but time will tell.
