The ZX's have a fuel damper factory just after the pump, you could try sourcing one of those maybe?

How does the car sound now? The exhaust looks really good, what kind of muffler have you got on the back?
Yeah I think I'll try the some sort of damper like that. I am a little suspicious of the wire thickness for the fuel pump. It's pretty thin at one point and I suspect this maybe having some effect on things. So I'll sort that first.

The exhaust is pretty good, except I've scraped the bejesus out of it. I need to raise the car a little bit. I'm not sure about the final muffler, it's a bit too loud for my liking so I'll probably change to quieter one once I've finished of some other jobs.

Thanks for the comments. It does feel completely different. It's so nice having all that power whenever you want it! I'll try and get a little video of it soon.

So, I've sorted out the running problems and have been driving this to work most days. Has been runing great.

The most perfect things I've ever bought:

They're brand new Datsun 510 mirrors which were chrome but now powder coated. You cant buy 240z ones anymore but they're almost identical. Matt black was a factory option too.

I also got my radiator re-cored:

TTT did an awesome job on the fab work and I painted it.... except for the bits I missed.

Doesn't matter what colour it is, through and through Zed, even if it's running a different Z motor. Sounds so good.

No way! I dropped it off on Saturday. What's yours going in for? Engine bay? Have those indicator lenses shown up by chance?
