Paint headlight housing

Post by wangan370z » Wed Jun 17, 2020 12:46 am

Hello people,

Anyone has tried paint headlight housing or company does that?

I really want to get a 'black' cool looking headlight since mine is 2009 and has 'silver' housing, looks bit old now.

Quite a number of people in the wider community have modified their headlights. Often spot them at Caffeine & Classics when there's been a big turnout.

You're welcome to flick up a post on the club FB page too.

Would also pay to double check to make sure it wouldn't impede the light been and potentially not pass your WOF when it's next due.

Pulling apart these 370z headlights requires special tools and careful heating. If you get it even slightly wrong you'll destroy the headlight beyond repair.
Nissan offer black 370z headlights in their latter models. Sometime Ebay offers them cheap enough from wrecks, but I dont know if beam angle will be different or correctable from LHD to RHD.
