370Z Exhaust Upgrade

Post by bluefish » Tue Jul 29, 2014 12:08 am

Hi 370Z owners,

Just wondering who out there has upgraded their stock exhaust on their 370Z? Interesting in knowing what brand you went for, what it looks like, how it sounds, how much it cost, and where it was done.

I'm based in Auckland and really just want to upgrade it for the sound! Looking to spend up to $2k and also want to retain the stock look as much as possible (I don't particularly like the brands that have the tips sticking out too far).

For a change, Google has not really helped me as much as I'd hoped!

Cheers,

J

Welcome to the forum Bluefish. Nismo exhaust is always a good option, although more expensive.

Hope you can join us at an event and show off that 370. 8)

Thanks Bronzee! Not usually much of a forum poster, more of a reader. But the exhaust decision is maddening so thought I would post ;)

Yep, will definitely look at joining the club. Funnily enough was in Tauranga recently visiting friends and bumped into a fellow Z34 owner and his wife. Had a good yarn about the cars (his was a beautiful 370Z Roadster) and he mentioned the club and website so thought I would have a nosy :)

P.S. and thanks for the link OMSIN. May have found the CBE that I want (Berk).

Main thing with posting issues or questions, it helps someone else further down the track with is another great part of being involved with a club.

That would have been Bordeaux (in the Bordeaux roadster? )

Come along to next months meet if you can, say hi to the crew. 8) Great bunch, and heaps of knowledge.

Please note the link is for a part distributor based out of the USA, add roughly 20% and allow 3-400 for postage (depending on the size). Many people from here have ordered in parts off the site, so you can be assured that you shouldn't have any issues with them. Try buy everything at once so make postage worth while and if you can have the item sent in separate boxes so they don't stand out as expensive items otherwise Customs will charge tax/fees - I have imported 2 bulk lots of parts, one made it through tax free and the other did not.

Seems to be my strategy with club bulk buys = cheaper for everyone + CZP is awesome :)
We are now trying to get that Berk exhaust piggybacked over with my stuff.

Hi

Earlier this year I upgraded from a 2009 manual 370Z to a 2013 auto model and got these guys to do some work for me

http://www.speedtechnz.com/

These guys do excellent work.

They put an X-Force Cat back stainless steel exhaust on for me (approx $1400) along with free-flow air filters. It makes a very nice buzz.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOswmrqbdTw and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5UBkbNty2s

Then re-tuned the car to be more responsive on the throttle and rev a bit higher and change gear faster.

On the dyno they got about another 10-12kw at the rear wheels.

Stillen is a nice choice and nice rumble.

It's really coolto see some of you 370'ers holding onto your Zeds.
