Fairlady Z Nismo ??

Post by 07pearl » Sat Mar 04, 2017 5:49 pm

I am looking for a 350Z/ Fairllady 2007/08 HR.

I have just seen a 2008 Fairlady Z Nismo.. Seller reckons its got 350bhp.
It looks the same as the standard 07/08 model. The only difference is the Nismo badge on the back.

I am thinking that it would be too easy to put that badge on the back and call it special.

How do i know its a genuine Nismo... is there such a thing ?

Cheers guys

I call absolute, eerm, rubbish. Unless it's got the full OEM Nismo kit, the stitching around the seats & the Nismo's had a numbered plaque.
Got a link to the car?

These stats aren't 100%, but not far off:

In Bronzee's links it says the 2007-2008 NISMO "was only available with a 6-speed manual transmission" and that there's an auto.

Looks unlikely.

seller doesn't know what he has. I'd be staying clear unless it was dirt cheap, which is isn't
pretty common for people to see a sticker on their car and think its something great

Sorry, she ain't no Nismo.

At Zeubin, those links are mostly filled with info from the US, so some of the specs are marginally different. We didn't have the same options here new.

I did recently road test a 350GT with nismo badge, mats etc. Supposedly a high performance model. Definitely wasn't.

Unfortunatly the 350Z Nismo was only EVER released to the US market. Unless of course the Z33 Nismo 380RS which was released to Japan but they're rare as hen's teeth.

Some earlier 350Z's were released with minor Nismo upgrades but nothing really worth holding out for. Here the best performance you'll get is from a 07~08 ST or Track package.

Also the 350Z Nismo doesn't have any extra HP factory. Still 309 though may be a tiny bit more thanks to the upgraded exhaust. My favorite part about them is the Kit and the seam welded chassis
2005 350Z ST money pit.
