Can anyone recommend a decent mechanic in Christchurch?

I'm looking at a head gasket replacement or possibly a full engine transplant. Just looking to get some quotes so I have some ballpark figures to work with. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I have not been able to find a Z32 Specialist as of yet! I have owned my 1991 Nissan Fairlady 2 seater slick-top for 17 years. The problem with our cars as most of us are already aware is this No room to work on the engine! they are not technically hard to understand just hard for the average mechanic to work on, they will sting you every time with excessive labour costs. for example to change a High pressure Power Steering hose they charged me 4 hours labour at my local shop sounds like only an hour job right but they said the bottom thread was corroded and the nut was also rounded so they had to use vice grips and also had to heat it up but finally managed to swap it out! so all up $400 including parts just for swap out a leaking PS high pressure hose. had the engine removed prior to this and fully reconditioned with wisco forged pistons and new turbos kit they wanted 33 hours labour to remove and refit the engine! LOL! No Nissan 300zx Specialists in NZ that I can find anyone know of any?

Hi there, there is a Z32 specialist & he's been around a long time, he's further up the island in the Waikato. Look up Glenn @ The Lab. Or I think his username on here is still Mungyz.
