My existing radiator is starting to fall apart. My friendly local radiator specialist will recore/restore it for $690+.
It's an old skool copper/brass.I see on Trademe Redline Performance listing an alluminium one for $295.
Internet feedback on their radiators not too impressive.
Needs to be pretty much a bolt-in solution. As an apartment dweller workshop facilities are somewart restricted !
Any suggestions.?
radiator relacement for '78 260z
If you choose to recore get them to do a three core for you. I did that to mine when I rebuilt my motor. Not that I was having problems. My temp always stays rock steady no matter what the outside temp or how hard it gets driven.
I don't know much about the Aluminium Radiators except that we have fitted one into our 120y. Basically because of the price. I bought it off Trademe and it came from Australia. Don't know where it was manufactured.

The one that is falling apart is a 3 row so the re-core would be the same.
Boost Performance offer a Mishimoto one for a 240z ,they are trying to confirm with their US supplier whether that will go straight into my 260,
The attraction of the ali one is cost and weight. The mishimoto one not so much on cost !
Wondering about the weight too, as the old copper one did not feel that heavy when I pulled it out.
When full of coolant the weight may not be that much different in kilos.
